Eight days in September (through September 18) bring lots of change. Smoke engulfs Vancouver Island. Don’s arrival in Everett imminent. Covid cases spike. Ruth Bader Ginsburg passes.

Last Friday: A visit to Nathan’s workshop Part & Whole to see where our couch is to be made.

Tuesday: David Scott comes to the house and so do lots of the specialists - Stan from Matrix comes to measure the honed marble counters & fireplace surround.

Thursday: Viridian puts the solar panels on the roof on a day of no sun

On an alley walk a back door lock set catches my eye —— resolve to get one like it for refurbished cellar door. The source Price’s locksmith which has been in business for over a century. Charmaine is my locksmith. Quite a bit of inventory at Price’s!
